  Instructions from the Old Elder's Book

  last night i was looking over the notes on my old elders book and one of the instructors told us to write this down.

  "when you want to get the friends to believe and obey anything, just keep saying it over and over and over and eventually they will believe it and follow whatever they are being told.

  when i went back to school, i learned this quote in one of my world history classes..

  It's not in the written text, we were told to write notes and instructions on the sides of the pages. And make sure no one in our families saw the book or our notes.

  There's older watchtowers that say the same thing that the translaters were not inspired. This religion is such a joke.

  
  Here's one I always use with the JWs when I feel like freaking out someone and getting a laugh for the day. It always works, they totally lose it for a while.

  I never realized how boring I was.

  as a true believer in the watchtower, i never knew how truly boring i was until being out for a couple of years and then sitting down with a group of jws and having a conversation..

  thats what happened this morning.

  i decided to go have breakfast at mcdonalds and a group of jws who were out in service and know me also stopped for breakfast and sat down with me and we talked for about an hour.

  The folly of Watchtower's theodicy. Or, why would an all-powerful and all-wise God need to justify his sovereignty through suffering?

  watchtower says that evil and suffering exist at present to vindicate jehovah as being the only one qualified to govern; to bear witness to man's inability to govern himself independent of god and under satan's direction.

  the claim is made that the questions raised by satan regarding god's motives as universal sovereign can only be answered by allowing humans to see the evil and suffering that results when man lives independent of god's protection and direction.. watchtower and jws seem to think that this is the best theodicy in the world.

  but there are some serious flaws in it.. 1. such a theodicy suggests that all perfect and intelligent creation, up until the advent of adam and eve, did not know god and his ways well enough to be confident that his motives as universal sovereign are pure.

  It always got me that after all this suffering and woe... After mankind Finally understands and can see how much we need god to rule over everything for us... Once the point is made for all time, never to be questioned by mankind again...

  You forgot to mention what will happen after the 1000 year reign of Christ.

  And to top it all off, the WT says the lake of fire will always exist for any dissenters who get tired of living in paradise and want to have sex. Remember those that are resurrected can not have sex, they can only look and wish. Anything more than looking and wishing, even just a small "touch" and into the lake of fire you go.

  I knew a person that was proud of the fact that the only thing they ever read was the Watchtower and Awake. I could not relate to that as I am a lifelong reader and interested in many things,

  Yea, I understand, I'm at that point now where I read anything I can get my hands on. On the other side of the spectrum, I can't stand to read even one sentence of WT publications. They disgust me.

  Thanks for that, it really helps and I'll tell you why. When my wife finally decided that she had to end the marriage because I was a danger to her spirituality, I tried to reason with her that I was not a danger. In fact I tried to help her see that everything I did was to help our family now and into the future. I remember telling her;

  "What man is willing to go back to school for 10 years and get a degree while working full time, so he can better his family?"

  I still remember her reply.

  "Any Stupid Dog can be trained to sit and lie down, but that doesn't make him smart or interesting"

  On top of that, all her JW friends view me as a stupid man and her as exceptionally wise because she is still regular pioneering and I became inactive.

  I keep having these dreams that one day everyone will see what I finally discovered----TTATT.
